Nook Host Policy

This Nook Host Policy (the "Policy") governs the use of Nook Hosts Hub by any individual or business that publishes an experience on Nook (a "Host"). In this Policy, "Nook", "we" and "us" refer to the operator of nooktribe.com, and "Guest" means any person who books or attends an experience through Nook. By selecting "I accept the Nook Host policy" during registration, the Host agrees to comply with this Policy for every experience published on Nook.

1. Fees and billing

1.1 The first five (5) experiences published by the Host within three (3) months of account approval are free of charge. Each new experience published counts as one (1), regardless of how many dates it is scheduled for or how many Guests book it.

1.2 After this period, or once five (5) free experiences have been published, whichever occurs first, Nook charges a fee of ten percent (10%) of the experience price for each Guest who books through Nook.

1.3 Nook issues a formal invoice for these fees to the Host's registered email address. Payment is due within five (5) working days of the invoice issue date.

1.4 Nook may amend its pricing and fees. The Host will be notified of any change before it takes effect.

2. Content standards

2.1 The Host confirms that all content published for an experience, including titles, descriptions and images, is accurate and that the Host owns or has the right to use it.

2.2 The Host shall not publish content that is offensive, misleading, unsafe or unlawful, or that infringes the rights of any third party.

2.3 Nook may edit, suspend or remove any experience that breaches this clause, without prior notice.

3. Payments and refunds

3.1 The Host is solely responsible for collecting payment from Guests and processing any refunds.

3.2 The Host shall state cancellation and refund terms clearly in each experience.

3.3 If the Host cancels an experience, the Host shall refund all affected Guests in full.

3.4 Nook is not a party to payment transactions between the Host and Guests and is not liable for any dispute arising from them.

4. Pricing

4.1 The Host shall set prices that are fair and reasonable in relation to the duration, materials and nature of the experience.

4.2 The full price shall be disclosed in the experience details. No undisclosed charges may be applied.

4.3 The Host shall not charge Guests who book through Nook more than the price offered for the same experience through other channels.

5. Attendance and presence

5.1 The Host shall arrive before the scheduled start time, begin the experience on time and remain present for its full duration.

5.2 The Host shall confirm Guest attendance in the Nook app after each experience.

5.3 Failure to attend a scheduled experience without prior notice may result in suspension of the Host's account.

6. Changes to experiences

6.1 Any change to the date, time, location, price or capacity of an experience shall be made through the Nook app, so that Guests are notified.

6.2 The Host shall give Guests at least twenty-four (24) hours' notice of any change, where reasonably possible.

7. Non-discrimination

7.1 Nook welcomes diversity. The Host shall treat all Guests equally and shall not discriminate on the basis of background, nationality, religion, gender, age or disability.

7.2 Any form of discrimination or harassment by the Host may result in immediate removal from Nook.

8. Community engagement

8.1 During each experience, the Host shall introduce Nook to Guests and encourage them to subscribe at nooktribe.com and follow Nook on Instagram.

8.2 The Host shall encourage Guests to rate the experience in the Nook app. Ratings become available once the scheduled end time of the experience has passed.

9. Photography and social media

9.1 The Host shall share photos of each experience on Instagram and tag Nook's official account.

9.2 The Host shall obtain the consent of Guests before publishing images in which they can be identified, and shall respect any Guest's request not to be photographed.

10. Active hosting

10.1 The Host shall host an experience at least once per week.

10.2 The Host shall keep all published experiences accurate and up to date.

11. Nook Rewards

11.1 Every Guest's eleventh (11th) experience booked through Nook is free of charge to the Guest (a "Reward Booking").

11.2 The Guest selects the experience for the Reward Booking from the experiences available on Nook.

11.3 Where a Guest selects the Host's experience, the Host shall honour the Reward Booking on the same terms as any other booking. The Host shall receive no payment for the Reward Booking from Nook or the Guest, and no Nook fee applies to it.

12. Collaboration between Hosts

12.1 Hosts are encouraged to collaborate with other Hosts through Nook Hosts Hub to create joint experiences.

13. Breach of this Policy

13.1 If the Host breaches this Policy, Nook may, at its sole discretion and depending on the seriousness of the breach, issue a warning, remove experiences, or suspend or terminate the Host's account.

14. Amendments

14.1 Nook may amend this Policy at any time. The Host will be notified of amendments in the Nook app or by email before they take effect.

14.2 Continued use of Nook Hosts Hub after an amendment takes effect constitutes acceptance of the amended Policy.
